Below is my monthly alternative income as of 08/31/2008 broken down by source:

This month I ran a contest to see who will be closest in estimating correctly my monthly income. I even ran a thread in Digital Point, but unfortunately there were several jealous people who made everything possible to ban my account. As a result I lost all the entries of people who estimated my income by writing on the DP thread. The winner based off the entries in my previous post is: Stock Market Books. To summarize August was a record month for my small blogging empire, as I was able to increase adsense income by more than one third. A large problem for my online income is the fact that Adsense is the biggest source of alternative income. If it were to dry up, I would not be making more than $100/month.
I learned how to use channels in the beginning of this month, so I will be able to better track my earnings by site. Judging by the performance in the first week of the current month, it seems that one of my sites that I believed to be responsible for the doubling of my earnings to actually earn very little. Over 80% of my earnings come from just one site, which reiteraters the belief of Yaro Starak that successful bloggers concentrate on one or two sites. I concentrate on four.

Kontera also showed a solid increase of about 20%, which is again due to the increase in traffic that I had in my blogs for the month. I was able to surpass the $100 mark in earnings just at the end of August, so I expect to be paid somewhere in early October.

My Text Link Ads earnings tripled, as I sold several links to different publishers and was also able to increase my prices. This program is a great way to earn money, since the minimum payout is $25, and they pay you right after the month that you have sold your ads for has ended. In other words, if you sell $25 worth of TLA advertising in August, you get paid on September 1, which is the first of the month. I chose to receive payment through Paypal, which is faster than receiving a check.

I was also able to increase my adsdaq earnings by almost tripling this alternative income program. I did this mainly by receiving a tip from a fellow blogger who shared with me his CPM rates. I realized that I had unrealistically high CPM rates, which lead to my banners displaying blank content, which pays nothing.

My adify earnings did increase by almost 20% as well, which was surprising to me given the substantial drops since earning a record $30 in May. My earnings crossed the $50 minimum adify payout in late August. My Network is on a Net 60 Days payment terms. Adify support informed me that I can expect to receive payment 60 days out from the end of August.(End of October).

I hope to at least maintain the high level of online passive income in the coming months. I would like to cross $1,000 in monthly online earnings sooner rather than later. I do also have an income stream consisting of dividend stocks and fixed income instruments which also generates about $100/month. Unfortunately though, in order to generate $100 month with stocks and bonds, you need a 6% yield and 20,000 in initial capital.
