Monetization Methods for small bloggers

Most big bloggers such as Yaro Starak, ProBlogger and John Chow would tell you that they generate a large amount of advertising deals privately or using programs that require you to have several thousand unique visitors every day and a certain google page rank. Private deals enable large bloggers to be totally in control of their advertising destinies. Most large bloggers even go further by saying that google adsense should not be the only monetization method for bloggers.

I actually think that Google Adsense is the best monetization method for any legitimate blogger who gets up to several thousand unique hits per day. The first method that I actually signed up for was google adsense. Through trial and error I explored a variety of ad options in order to find an ad platform that provides consistent monthly performance while still maintaining my objectivity.

I didn’t want to use Review Me or Pay per post, because most products there were not relevant to my unique niche. In addition to that their compensation system is a pay for performance – once you write your review or post and you are paid you don’t earn more money from this source unless you write more. Seeking the passive income element I tried out Azoogle Ads, Bidvertiser, Adify and was pretty amazed that although my traffic was increasing, I couldn’t get a consistent stream of income from them.

That’s how I ended up with adsense, kontera in text ads and text link ads – if you maintain the same type and amount of traffic you will at least gain a consistent ad revenue stream every month.

Bloggers typically have to stress over writing quality content, marketing their blog to the outside world and creating a great experience for the end user. Having to worry whether your ad provider will provide consistent revenues is another worry that adsense, kontera and text link ads will make sure do not happen to you.

nice post , I ve always felt that you should not keep all your eggs in one basket. Adsense is greta , but your blog can make more money with other affiliate programs.

ZK,

Thanks for stopping by. Putting all your eggs in one basket is most likely to ruin your business.
I have taken the concept one step further by setting up "offline" income streams by purchasing dividend paying stocks and setting up bank CD's.

Nice post buddy. I agree, I personally found Google Ad sense rewarding when yoiu are a starter. Ad sense starts covering your hosting costs at the least. But there is no harm using affiliate programs along with, I think it should be mix of both.

Adsense is definitely great money earner in the beginning, something that help things ticking over.

The best thing about Adsense is ads are targeted and doesnt require you to seek out advertisers for different sites.

For a beginner good way to start.

Interesting site...I have to stop by more often. You started your site the same time I started ... http://moneymakingexperiments.blogspot.com/
